a little marking, though generally a good clean copy, but with the title-page in facsimile. the title-page is from the second edition of 1737, but in fact there is no difference between the first and second editions, the latter being a straight re-issue. in an 18th-century full calf binding, a bit worn and rubbed; the joints weak, but holding. John Atkins, 'Gent. of Plaistow, in Essex' was a surgeon in the Royal Navy. 009 018 904
